Plan & timeline
An overall master plan covers the Hobsonville Point Project. Guided by the master plan, each area is planned and designed in more detail and a Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) is prepared and consent for this is applied for from Waitakere City Council. The first CDP, covering the Buckley and Buckley B Precincts, is in place and planning is now underway for the Sunderland Precinct which includes The Landing.
Each CDP identifies locations for residential, educational, retail, and other non-residential activities within the area. The proposed locations for neighbourhood parks, reserves, walkways and cycleways, bus stops and the main road network are also identified. The CDP includes development controls, such as building heights, setbacks and site coverage. These development controls are set out in detail in the Buckley Hobsonville CDP - final and revised consent conditions document.
