Apple Festival 2012
Come and help us celebrate our farmers market's first anniversary with plenty of old fashioned fun and games for young and old. The committee is still finalising the details, but already confirmed are a scarecrow competition, gumboot throwing, apple bobbing and apple and spoon races.
Mark your diaries for 26 February 9am – 1am and check here for more details over the next weeks.
There will also be an apple pie competition, so get baking to fine-tune that special recipe.

December 2011 Newsletter
Our last newsletter for 2011 reveals exciting plans for a Viginia King sculpture for Hobsonville Point Wharf. Also being revealed are the plans for a memorial to honour all those New Zealand Defence Force personnel who were based at RNZAF Hobsonville between 1928 and 2002.
There's plenty to see and do here this month. The Farmers Market, Vintage and Craft Market and the Catalina Cafe are all celebrating the festive season with activites, feasts and plenty of Christmas gift ideas. The large Liquid Amber tree by the playground is looking fantastic decked out in lights as a Christmas tree.
There is news about a track now available to cross the former runway to reconnect the Coastal Circuit.
An update on house sales is given, and the recently opened Jalcon showhome is featured.

After School Activities at the Hobsonville Point Twilight Farmers Market - every Wednesday
The after school activites at the Hobsonville Point Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings over the coming weeks are sure to be popular with the young and young at heart.
There is gingerbread decorating from 3.30pm on 9, 23 November and 7 December, and for those who need to burn off some energy, from 4pm on Wednesday 16, 30 November and 14 December, there will be sports and games like swingball and pedal car bikes.
All activities are free!
Why not stay for dinner. The Catalina Café is open until 8pm and are doing '2 for the price of 1' kids pizzas.

October Newsletter
October's newsletter features recent activities at Hobsonville Point, from planting days, artwork unveiling, heritage walks, and a new bus service operating! Universal Homes now have two showhomes open to view seven days a week. There is great news about Hobsonville Point Park winning a gold Spacial Design award, and resident boat building company, Yaching Developments, also winning a KiaOraMai Awesome Service Award.

Hobsonville Point Heritage Walk
Hobsonville Point took part in this year's Auckland Heritage Festival, by hosting a guided and non-guided walk. This walk takes in the Old Headquartes Building and Parade Ground, hangars, houses and the seaplane apron. A map with information on the buildings has been provided by Auckland Council. Come to Hobsonville Point for the evening!
Hobsonville Point Farmers Market is now operating a Twlight Market on Wednesday evenings from 3pm to 7pm. Call in for a few mid week essentials after the school run or on your way home from work.
The Catalina Café will also be open at this time, serving delicious food until 8pm on Wednesdays. The menu includes 'market specials' and fantastic home made pizzas. In case you have not heard, the Café is now licensed.
We hope to see you there.

New Schools for Hobsonville Point
The Hobsonville Land Company is pleased to report that the new Hobsonville Point Primary and Secondary Schools were announced by government today. The Hobsonville Point Primary School will open at the beginning of the 2013 school year for years 1 to 8, while the Hobsonville Point Secondary School will open for year 9 at the beginning of the 2014 year. Both schools will include land for early childhood education. Timing for the new schools couldn’t be better with houses now under construction and first residents expected later this year. You can keep up to date with the progress of the schools via the Ministry of Education’s website which includes regular newsletters about the schools.
