Come along with friends and family to explore Hobsonville Point and find out the stories behind the road names, and have some fun along the way. 

Pick up a map and "Challenge Sheet" from the Hobsonville Point Information Centre, return it completed for a little reward!

Brought to you by the Hobsonville Point Residents Society, together with a dedicated group of Hobsonville Point Secondary School students, and the Hobsonville Land Company.

A Fun Way to Run

You have to be in to win but luckily there is still time to enter the 2016 Hobsonville Point Runway Challenge. Fast approaching on Sunday May 15, this year’s charity event will feature spot prize giveaways and t-shirts for sale. All entry fees and any profit from the merchandise will be redistributed back into the community, with over $7000 given away in 2015.

Once was not enough for the 200 people participating in Hobsonville Yacht Club’s Have a Go Day at the beginning of February, which was organised in association with Yachting New Zealand to encourage anyone who had not sailed before to get out on the water in a fun and safe environment.

Mill House Tour - Heritage Homes at Hobsonville Point

Come Fly With Me

Bring your own kite or remote-controlled aircraft to The landing for some fun in the air on Sat 8th and Sunday 9th March, 9am - 2pm. There'll be kite building workshops for kids, model aircraft club displays, remote-controlled plane and copter aerial demos, and the Farmers Market will be open as usual nearby.

Love to be beside the seaside? Stop in Saturday 15 or Sunday 16 of February between 9am and 3pm. There will be plenty happening as we celebrate the market opening in its new home – a refurbished 1930s seaplane hangar at The Landing. Make up a picnic from market produce and soak up the atmosphere, or take a walk around Bomb Point.

Celebrate the Opening of the Hobsonville Point Ferry Wharf

Come and celebrate the opening of the new Hobsonville Point Ferry Wharf this Sunday, 3rd February, from 11am to 2pm.

There will be free bike hire, kayaks (be prepared to get wet!), face painting, art activities, and sausage sizzle. A free shuttle bus will also be operating between the wharf and the Hobsonville Point Farmers Market. A limited free ferry service will be operating between Beach Haven and Hobsonville Point from noon.

Hobsonville Point Heritage Walk

Hobsonville Point took part in this year’s Auckland Heritage Festival, by hosting a guided and non-guided walk. This walk takes in the Old Headquartes Building and Parade Ground, hangars, houses and the seaplane apron. A map with information on the buildings has been provided by Auckland Council.
